Assessment in physical education from the perspective of elementary school teachers

The aim of this research was to analyze the perception of elementary school teachers about the assessment in physical education. Teachers with training in Physical Education and effective in elementary education in schools from Canindé city, Ceará, participated in the research. Data collection was carried out from a semi-structured interview. For data analysis we used the thematic analysis technique. The results demonstrate that the perception of physical education teachers about the assessment in this subject can be classified into three categories: related to cognitive aspects, socio-affective relationships and participation in practical activities of students at elementar school.
