Abstract

The results of the Brexit referendum that took place in the UK on June 23rd, 2016, have had impacts that go beyond the realm of politics. They have also had educational repercussions on the already problematic situation of the study of Modern Foreign Languages. Furthermore, it could also affect the way that people understand the importance and benefits of studying and speaking other languages. There are several factors that have an influence on the number of people that study foreign languages, and these range from the traditional to the managerial. This article aims at providing some insights and possible solutions to the dire panorama of Modern Foreign Languages within the existing constraints.
