Identity and ethnic-racial relations in school education

We seek to discuss how the identity of the black people is linked to whiteness and, how the existence of blacks individuals in colonized society took place., Ffrom the writingsreadings of Frantz Fanon (2008) and Abdias do Nascimento (1980), we seek to contextualize how colonization was key to the spreading of the idea of race, attributingrelating the spread of goodness linked to whiteness and evil to blackness. The authors' reflections will contribute to explaining the educational situation, in view of the Afro-Brazilian identity. We identified how ethnic-racial education can be play a fundamental part role in the formation of identity, given the challenges of the new curriculum proposed curriculum of the new for high school, which has been implemented in the state of Bahia. Thise development of the research aims to at promoteing pedagogical actions that contribute to the educational formation process and enhance the identity of black students, ensuring the existence of guaranteeing educational policies and ethnic-racial relations that allow institutions to cover topics on the theme of Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous History and Culture in the institutions.
