Relação entre estresse percebido, funcionamento global e variáveis sociodemográficas e clínicas entre indivíduos na fase inicial da psicose

Resumo

Objetivo: Explorar a relação entre estresse percebido, funcionamento global e variáveis ​​sociodemográficas e clínicas entre pacientes na fase inicial da psicose. Metodologia: Estudo transversal realizado com 82 pacientes com psicose, atendidos em um serviço de intervenção precoce localizado em Ribeirão Preto, Brasil. Para a coleta de dados foram utilizados um formulário para caracterização sociodemográfica e clínica, a Escala de Estresse Percebido e a Escala de Avaliação Global de Funcionamento. Estatísticas descritivas e inferenciais foram utilizadas para análise dos dados. Resultados: Mulheres apresentaram maiores escores de funcionamento global e estresse percebido. Pacientes com companheiros apresentaram escores mais elevados de estresse percebido. Pacientes que não utilizavam substâncias apresentaram maior funcionamento global. Houve correlação inversa, fraca e significativa entre estresse percebido e renda familiar. Em relação ao estresse percebido e funcionamento global, os resultados indicam uma correlação inversa e fraca, mas não significativa. Conclusão: Os achados oferecem evidências que direcionam intervenções precoce estratégicas à indivíduos na fase inicial da psicose. Além disso, os resultados reforçam a necessidade do olhar cuidadoso para indivíduos em uso de substâncias e a utilização de outras modalidades terapêuticas, visando prevenir ou retardar  prejuízos funcionais, principalmente entre a população masculina.
