Relação entre estresse percebido, funcionamento global e variáveis sociodemográficas e clínicas entre indivíduos na fase inicial da psicose

Objetivo: Explorar la relación entre el estrés percibido, el funcionamiento global y las variables sociodemográficas y clínicas entre pacientes en la fase inicial de psicosis. Metodología: Estudio transversal realizado con 82 pacientes con psicosis atendidos en un servicio de intervención temprana ubicado en Ribeirão Preto, Brasil. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó un formulario de caracterización sociodemográfica y clínica, la Escala de Estrés Percibido y la Escala de Evaluación Global del Funcionamiento. Se utilizó estadística descriptiva e inferencial para el análisis de datos. Resultados: Las mujeres tuvieron puntuaciones más altas de funcionamiento global y estrés percibido. Los pacientes con parejas teníanpuntuaciones de estrés percibido más altas. Los pacientes que no consumían sustancias tenían un mayor funcionamiento global. Hubo una correlación inversa, débil y significativa entre el estrés percibido y los ingresos familiares. En relación con el estrés percibido y el funcionamiento global, los resultados indican una correlación inversa y débil, pero no significativa. Conclusión: Los hallazgos proporcionan evidencia de que las intervenciones tempranas estratégicas directas para los individuos en las primeras etapas de la psicosis. Además, los resultados refuerzan la necesidad de una mirada atenta a las personas que consumen sustancias y el uso de otras modalidades terapéuticas, con el objetivo de prevenir o retrasar el deterioro funcional, especialmente entre la población masculina.
