Este dossiê reúne pesquisas que, cada uma à sua maneira, recusam a fantasia confortável de uma “inteligência” artificial neutra e asséptica. Em vez disso, tomam os algoritmos como textos, inscritos em histórias coloniais, atravessados por relações de poder, corporais e situados, para perguntar, em diferentes campos: quem é incluído, quem é silenciado, quem é deformado e quem é esquecido. Desse modo, pensamos o dossiê como uma cartografia insurgente do Sul Global, um mapa que se redesenha a partir das bordas, das travessias e das margens onde os algoritmos também operam controle e apagamento. São essas cartografias de exclusão e reexistência que orientam o percurso do dossiê, cujos textos estão categorizados em cinco blocos, como mostramos subsequentemente.
