We analyze the influence
of the agricultural modernization on
the development of specific educational
pathways in Brazil, highlighting the initial
influence of Agricultural Sciences in this
articulation. We reflect on emblematic
aspects of the Brazilian agrarian question
and their manifestations in the construction
of these pedagogical proposals. The
methodology combines the analysis of
legislative documents and a literature review,
revealing tensions between hegemonic
models of agricultural education and critical
proposals arising from social movements in
elaboration of educação do campo.
