Abstract

Vargas Llosa is most recent romance integrates procedures of documentary into fictional literature, as he describes the life of Roger Casement, an Irish that fought against the subhuman workers’ conditions in the rubber plantations of Congo and the Peruvian Amazon, in addition to the British domination in his country.
