Resumo

The article presents a historical, political and ideological overview of Viktor Orbán’s rule in Hungary, which started in 2010 and which shows no signs of weakening. Specifically, the study seeks to ascertain the relations between Orbán’s ostensible ideology – illiberalism – liberalism, and democracy. The article also explains how Orbán’s anti-migrant measures are linked to the infringement of more general democratic guarantees.
