Abstract

This article analyzes the artistic expressions of the Karão Jaguaribaras people, through Taowás (graphics and  paintings), whose essence is the connection between several worlds. The methodology involved consulting digital and printed collections, scientific and journalistic texts about ethnicities and indigenous movements. Participant observation was central to this process: dialogue with artists, recording oral narratives, participation in exhibitions, debates, workshops. This set of data, enriched by the author’s artistic experience, served as guidance regarding social struggles and indigenous art.
