Abstract

The interview with Professor Maria Nazaré Mota de Lima addresses fundamental relationships surrounding the complex theme of language, racism, and social transformation—an issue that needs greater depth in the field of applied linguistics. The narratives she shares reveal a trajectory marked by emotions, activism, and collective experiences in various public policy contexts, with an emphasis on affirmative action in Brazil. Pós doutoranda em Linguística Aplicada na Universidade Estadual do Ceará. Pós doutora em Linguística aplicada - Universidade de Brasília-UNB, doutora em Linguística Aplicada -Universidade de Campinas-UNICAMP, mestra em Ciências Sociais - Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo-PUC-SP, graduada em Ciências Políticas e Sociais pela Escola de Sociologia e Política do Estado de São Paulo-ESPSP. 

Kassandra da Silva Muniz , Federal Rural University of Pernambuco

Pós-doutora em Linguística Aplicada à Educação pela UNB, sob a supervisão da Profa. Dra. Lúcia Assunção Barbosa (2018). Possui graduação em Letras pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2001), e desenvolveu, nesta instituição, pesquisa de iniciação científica, sob a orientação do Professor Dr. Luiz Antônio Marcuschi. Concluiu o mestrado em Linguística, pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas, em 2004, na área de Linguística Textual, sob a orientação da Professora Dra. Ingedore V. Koch.
