Interface between the Internationalization of Education in the Global South and Linguistic Education

The interface between the Internationalization of Education in the Global South and Linguistic Education occupies the center of discussion in the aforementioned thematic issue of Linguagem em Foco (v. 14, n. 1, 2022). We are interested in evaluating the Internationalization of Education from the lens of the Global South, whose concept, in addition to questioning colonialism and imperialism, points to the construction of a more participatory identity of the South of the world in the international context.

We welcome essays, reviews, research articles and expanded abstracts of recently defended theses (last 3 years) that assess the Internationalization of Education and make considerations about Linguistic Education initiatives (teaching foreign languages and diffusion of Portuguese as a foreign language) from the perspective of Applied Linguistics. Submissions will be accepted in the following languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.

When filling out the submission form of a manuscript for this thematic issue, authors must remember to inform in the "section" field that their submission refers to "SUBMISSÃO PARA O NÚMERO TEMÁTICO V.14, N.1, 2022 (ARTIGOS, RESENHAS etc)". In case it is not carried out, the work will be submitted to the journal's continuous flow.

 

Submission period: January to May 2022.

Expected publication: August 2022.
