Early Childhood Education Against Dengue An Experience Report

Abstract
This experience report presents a project developed with Early Childhood Education classes aiming to raise awareness among children and their families about dengue prevention. The proposal was carried out through playful and integrated activities, such as conversation circles, reading of the comic book “Marcelino, the Detective Against Dengue”, songs, poster creation, mosquito hunt, artistic modeling, and theater. The actions were collaboratively planned by the teachers, considering the learning rights established in the BNCC. The results showed children's engagement, strengthened interaction between school and families, and the incorporation of preventive habits into daily life. It is concluded that playfulness is an effective pedagogical resource to promote awareness, meaningful learning, and the integral development of children in Early Childhood Education.
