https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/conexaocomciencia/article/view/14454

This study aimed to investigate the potential of the Water Treatment Plant of the Federal University of Viçosa (WTP-FUV) as a non-formal space for socio-scientific and environmental education, focusing on Chemistry. To this end, visits to the WTP-FUV were accompanied by 112 students (four classes of the 2nd year of High School /16-18 years old), from a public school in the Viçosa´s town (Brazil), to understand the structure of the space and the organization of the visits. Afterwards, we applied a questionnaire to the students who participated in the activity, seeking to evaluate their impressions about the educational experience. The analysis of the responses, based on Bardin's Content Analysis approach, indicated the WTP-FUV as a powerful space for scientific dissemination, in addition to favoring the learning of chemical concepts. We also highlight that the mediated visit allowed for the promotion of relevant reflections regarding socio-environmental aspects.
Bruna Rezende Magiole, Victória Lessa da Silva, Vinicius Catão de Assis Souza

This study investigates how Theater, as a Non-Formal Education practice, contributes to human transformation through Pedagogical Sensitivity in creative processes. The research, conducted within the context of the online language-learning theater course ¿Hablas Español?, included the production of the audio drama Los Ciegos and involved participants aged 60+ from the extension program “universIDADE” at Unicamp. Utilizing Augusto Boal's Theater of the Oppressed and Viola Spolin's Theater Games in video calls, the project proposes a horizontal approach between educator and participants, breaking away from social masks as seen in Foucault's “Games of Truth” (1990). Theater is explored as an Active Methodology to address the impacts of “Cognitive Capitalism” (Rolnik, 2006), stimulating creativity and critical expression. Aligned with the UN's 4th SDG, the results indicate reduced isolation, creative unblocking, and increased awareness of fake news, promoting comprehensive and critical education in a connected world.
Gabriel Fontoura Motta

This research aimed to investigate the experiences before and after the didactic visit of 25 undergraduate students from the Pedagogy course at MUDI-UEM, in order to investigate their reflections on the museum as a resource and non-formal space for teaching Science in the initial years. . For this, two questionnaires were applied: a pre-questionnaire, applied before the didactic-pedagogical visit, and a post-questionnaire, applied later. Initially, it was found that, despite MUDI-UEM being one of the university's spaces, the majority of undergraduates did not know about this location. However, the undergraduates were able to list skills, abilities, advantages and disadvantages of using the museum as a teaching and learning space, verifying its potential. Finally, in general, the graduates concluded that, like schools, non-formal spaces are spaces that enable dialogues about everyday issues and playfulness in the educational process.

Rauana Santander, Poliana Barbosa da Riva

https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/conexaocomciencia/article/view/14249

The study of Pedro Cardoso, or "Seu Roque," emphasizes the importance of traditional healing practices in the community health of Ilha de Santana, Amapá. As a healer, Seu Roque provides treatments that complement conventional healthcare services, playing a vital role in promoting well-being and building trust among residents. His skills in treating childhood illnesses have made him a respected figure, reflecting the interconnection between culture and health. The choice of Oral History as a methodology is significant, as it allows for a richer narrative, valuing voices that are often marginalized (Thompson, 1992). As Denzin and Lincoln (2006) note, this holistic approach fosters a deeper understanding of social phenomena. Furthermore, Seu Roque's ability to provide emotional and spiritual comfort highlights the importance of community relationships. The decolonization of historiography, as proposed by Dussel (1993), is essential for recognizing and valuing local knowledge, challenging narratives that often overlook these practices.
Juliana de Lima Melo, Vitor Sousa Cunha Nery

https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/conexaocomciencia/article/view/14743

Religious spaces are recognized as significant in the construction of social dynamics between cultural groups, thus becoming important spaces in the shaping of knowledge, behaviors, bodies, and landscapes. In these processes, different bodies, materials, substances, and existences are involved, which together form the landscape of the religion space, creating it daily through time. This article aims to reflect, within the Candomblé’s context about the relationships between bodies, beings, and things in the learning process of the children of Òrìṣà, using autoethnography as the methodological principle. Learning in the Candomblé leads the devotee to an education of the body, the physical and subtle characteristics of substances, and an understanding of collective and shared life. Each of these elements involved in daily and ritual practices plays an active role in the education of the children of Òrìṣà, with their bodies serving as substances for the creation and maintenance of Àse.
Alessandra Gomes, Vanessa Linke
