This study examines
the processes of oil exploration in the
Niger Delta and their effects on the
environment, encompassing both the
physical environment (including soil,
water, and air) and living organisms
(such as animals, plants, and fungi).
It seeks to move beyond approaches
that focus exclusively on the idea of
capitalogenic violence perpetrated
by international oil corporations,
identifying the multiple actors,
resources, discourses, and identities
in contention within the region.
