Military colleges and the militarization of public schools
Keywords:

This article aims to criticize the political use of the teaching of military colleges, elevated
to the condition of reference for public education due to their supposed military characteristics. The article makes use of bibliographical and documental research to first recover the purposes for which the colleges
were created (preparatory and
assistance), pointing out the conflict
between them. Second, to identify the real conditions - material, human and symbolic - of success of the colleges, noting, finally, that these conditions are not intrinsically “military”.
