Military Technology: conceptualization, importance and restrictions

Abstract

This work discusses the role of science, technology and innovation in goods and services in support of a country’s security, defense and progress. I state the importance of the concept of military technology and the so-called Revolution of Military Affairs, defined as a great change in the nature of war, resulting from the use of new technologies combined with changes in doctrine and organizational procedures. After examining the restrictions to free trade and the commercialization of technologies, I conclude
that the obvious solution is autonomous
development and the sovereign
use of its results.
