Bolivian Foreign Policy, Evo Morales, Ideology versus PragmatismAbstract
The new Bolivian foreign agenda has ideologically shifted to the Left. However, the international politics of Evo Morales’ first government (2006-09) is marked as well by strong doses
of pragmatism and, with the exception of the relations with the USA, ideological conflicts have not caused any harm or more serious consequence to the country’s diplomacy.
