This article discuss the idea of nation in the work of Carlos Astrada the Argentinean philosopher affiliated to the currents of revolutionary nationalism and modernism in Latin America. Astrada conceived nations on the one hand, as a translation of the myth that nests the secret origins of every nation, in another,
as a critical and positioned translation of foreign legacies of the universal philosophy.
