Abstract

The system of Brazilian Armed Forces’ officials formation has resisted the democratic changes of society since the end of the long dictatorial period. The present article analyzes this issue, speculating that maintenance of the antidemocratic perspective that characterized the military education in the last decades, and military leadership actions have prevented any changes.
