Abstract

Zionist expansionism demands ethnic cleansing in the case of Gaza. That policy was challenged by a spectacular operation, which demolished Israel’s image as an  invulnerable power. The rightwardization of that country destabilizes the US imperial counteroffensive. Hamas exercises its legitimate right to resistance, in the face of a terrorist State that acts as an aggressor. International solidarity will be effective if it overcomes the ambiguity of many pronouncements.
