Abstract

The conflict in the Gaza Strip produced new scenes of  horrors that shocked international public opinion during the month of October 2023 and beyond. Palestinians’ right to land continues to be denied and violently repressed by the Israeli state, which, in turn, has responded to terrorist and violent attacks by Hamas. This, in turn, has been represented as the personification of Palestinians in the
search to delegitimize their agendas before the world. The objective of this article is to analyze the identification between Hamas, terrorism and the left carried out by evangelical parliamentarians in Brazil.

Emanuel Freitas da Silva, UECE/Professor Assistente

Professor Adjunto de Teoria Política da Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE), no Curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Sociais da Faculdade de Educação de Itapipoca (FACEDI). Professor permanente dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia e de Planejamento e Políticas Públicas (UECE). Possui Graduação (UECE, 2010) e Mestrado (UFRN, 2013) em Ciências Sociais e Doutorado (UFC, 2018) em Sociologia. Membro-pesquisador do LEPEM (Laboratório de Estudos em processos Eleitorais e Mídia). Especialista em Ciência Política (UNINTER, 2021). Foi professor de Teoria Sociológica da UNIVASF, de Sociologia da Educação na URCA e de Sociologia na UFERSA. Tem experiência na área de Sociologia da Religião, Religião e Política, Sociologia da Educação, Teoria Sociológica, Teoria Política e Estudos de Eleições.
