Abstract

In this reflection we elaborate a short presentation of the works "Nationalism and oil" by Gabriel Cohn and "Oil and politics" by Arturo Frondizi. We expose the tensions prior to the creation of the companies Petrobras in Brazil and YPF in Argentina, regarding the interests of foreign companies. Finally, we intend to compare the oil policies of the two countries since its discovery around the middle of the last century.
