The social relationships and the bonds of belonging built by the
military, in the light of the family category, have been an object of reflection in contemporary times. Based on research of an ethnographic socio-character and
taking as reference the term “military family”, this article analyzes the forging of bonds sedimented by the adverse circumstances experienced by these subjects from the movements throughout
the national territory and by the distancing from living with their family of origin.
