The article discusses the advance of the European Right during the last 15 years from the view of electoral politics as well as the diffusion of ideologies and
sentiments. It analyzes the factors of the weakening Left and the strengthening Right, particularly the dismantling of the Welfare State and the growth of neoliberal policies. A history and the main features of the right-wing parties are also addressed.
