Diffusion of neoliberalism in Latin America

The neoliberal policies adopted in Latin America during the 80s and 90s resulted in crises in which the indebtedness played a crucial role. This article argues that the diffusion of neoliberalism in Latin America depended, partially, on the working of a set of key-institutions located outside the Continent acting in a coordinated manner
