Abstract

In this paper, we discuss women’s absorption into the Armed Forces of the socalled extended Mercosul; the paper tries to identify elements which should explain this “new” work force. An exploratory and comparative study, it deals specifically with the “woman soldier” as well as the challenges and the difficulties that such an
always masculine and highly virile profession give them.
