Taking off from the idea that Israelis, not Jews, constitute a Zionist nation, this essay shows the strict, complex and nonlinear connections of the Zionist movement to colonialism, fascism and racism. It was supported by the “civilizing mission” of the West in the name of which capitalist expansion obscured conquest, pillage and genocide.
