The struggle against importation dependence
an experiment from the Department of War during the "Estado Novo"

This article addresses the “Consumption of Domestic Goods” campaign. During the New State, the Army tried to reduce the dependency on warfare imports, avoid the evasion of assets, and leave industrial production, to develop research, as did the great powers. Such initiative had repercussions in the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo, and contributed to the modernization and creation of new industries.
