Social movements and socio-ecological problems in Atacama

The impacts of projects deployed in local communities in the region of Atacama are analyzed taking into account two emblematic cases of action by the communities affected in their socio-environmental settings. These cases are relevant because of the risks to life, as well as the creation of strategies
to achieve the interruption of megaprojects.
