Abstract

The paper examines challenges and insecurity caused by the poor management of the vast natural resources of the Gulf of Guinea in the 21st century. This region comprises countries stretching from Angola to Guinea Bissau and it is geostrategically important in Africa and the world. Its rich and diverse eco-system
is of great socio-economic value.
