Abstract

With the emergence of a new concept of memory based on the figure of the victim and the notion of responsibility, nation-states need to develop strategies and politics to face crimes committed in its name. The article analyses these sui generis institutions and politics in order to understand the relations between
nation, memory and responsibility.
