Abstract

The article outlines the historical landmark of the major contemporary problems of Latin America, noting the tensions affecting the culture, the economy, and politics. It focuses on addressing the problem simposed on the population due to the expansion of industrialization and urbanization, the uprooting of identity,
the acute iniquities in the distribution of wealth, and the proliferation of political violence exerted in the form of dictatorships and guerrilla warfare.
