Abstract

The article explores the reality behind the glow of success of Vale, monitoring the impact of the mining on workers and communities in Canada, Mozambique
and Brazil. Vale imitates the worst trends of the major mining companies in the world, and contributes to increasing disparities between rich and poor as well as
the environmental degradation.
