Abstract

The understanding of the emergence of a group of countries like the BRICS requests a broader reflection on the transformations of contemporary capitalism and the resulting explanation of new contradictions on the economical, political and, specially, social field. We present a set of features which we call capital-imperialism. We assume that the analyses of the various national contexts need to incorporate both the action of internal social sectors, as its growing internationalization.
