The article seeks to understand the changes in the role of women in US society, considering the impact of the feminist movement and World War II. Our approach centers on a historical analysis and feminist theory of International Relations, with
a focus on the field of defense and
international security. We conclude
that the active participation of women
in society has enabled their entry into
environments previously marked by
the male figure.
