The paper focuses on the changes occurred in the State enterprise YPF in Patagonia, during its privatization, and, later, during its nationalization. It examines the workers’ discourses and their meanings in relation to the idea of the nation, through a hermeneutic exercise of the ideology that permeates these discourses.
