This paper seeks to understand the role of international organizations in supporting national states to address global issues, such as Food and Nutrition Security (FNS). With the advancement of globalization, the role of international regimes in shaping public policies is growing. Health and food security seem to be on the top of the agenda nowadays. We present a systematization of the main actions in the trajectory of international cooperation between FAO and the countries of the region, with a focus on Brazil.
