Gender and sexuality in the 1990’s educational policies

The article aims to analyze how gender and sexuality issues are addressed in Brazilian educational documents and policies in the 1990s, as well as to give visibility to the feminist movements’ claims. Based on a bibliographical and documental survey, it is possible to conclude that the material collected is referred to three categories: inexistence and/or generality of ender
and sexuality issues, quantitative focus
on the access of girls and women to basic education, and approach to sexuality only in hygienic aspects.
