The Sandinista Revolution was a victorious political process of national liberation in Nicaragua (1979- 1990), in which women’s participation was essential. They were an organic
part of the revolution, which triumphed due to the support and active presence of Nicaraguan women. The objective of this article is to delineate the relationship between women’s struggle and the national question in the context of hegemonic disputes in Latin America.
