African women in a Brazilian urban university field

This article discusses daily experiences lived by migrant women from African countries, higher education student in a university-urban field in Brazil. These women constitute collective mediations and social forms that effect complex, dense, and intense educational dynamics, affecting their identity reconstitution, considering academic, gender, race, and nationality issues. The generated data were mobilized through ethnographic observation, questionnaires, interviews, urban sketches, and social cartography workshops
