Abstract

This article consists of a case study that analyzes intersections between the Brazilian and Palestinian contexts. The time frame is 2022-2023 to cover recent events. Among the main conclusions, we highlight that the Palestinian people and the favela population of Rio de Janeiro experience similar contexts of occupation, militarization, and police aggression, marked by impunity and state violence.
