Abstract

This study aims to map the types of existing technologies aimed at parents and family caregivers of children in palliative care. This is a scoping review conducted between March and April 2025 in the databases Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE/PubMed), Virtual Health Library (BVS), Scopus, and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). Sixteen studies were included, most of which were published in the United States and Australia between 2018 and 2025, all in English. The study types varied within the sample. The majority of the identified technologies were applications, but other types were also found. The mapping identified different technologies that contribute to supporting parents and family caregivers of children in palliative care through education about self-care, management of their family member’s condition, monitoring, and emotional support throughout this process.
