Abstract
This article analyzes the ideological character of Brazilian education, with a focus on the professional education offered by Federal Institutes. From a historical perspective, it examines how education in Brazil has been shaped by specific contexts, meeting the demands of different periods and class interests. It highlights the importance of understanding education as an ongoing process that requires informed planning and critical knowledge. It concludes by highlighting Federal Institutes as a relevant alternative to promote comprehensive education and contribute to a transformative educational project aligned with contemporary needs.
