UMA ANÁLISE A PARTIR DO CONCEITO DE EXPERIÊNCIA PURA

This article examines the problem of consciousness in Nishida Kitaro through his concept of pure experience, which marks the beginning of modern philosophy in Japan and underpins the Kyoto School. In An Inquiry into the Good (1911), Nishida proposes an ontology grounded in direct experience, preceding the division between subject and object, rejecting both Western dualism and physicalist and idealist views. This concept, also referred to as phenomena of consciousness, underscores the need to understand consciousness in Nishida’s framework. The study concludes that Nishida’s understanding of consciousness aligns closely with the notion of absolute nothingness.
