LIMITES E VALOR DE UMA APLICAÇÃO DA ÉTICA KANTIANA À ÉTICA AMBIENTAL

Abstract

This article aims to address the possibility of applying Kantian ethics to environmental ethics based on Kant's considerations regarding rights directed to nature in the Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, Metaphysics of Morals and Critique of the Power of Judgment. Using a theoretical-qualitative methodology, the application will be analyzed in light of the status of Kantian philosophy in the field of environmental ethics, focusing on the consideration of its limits and value. That said, the article seeks to contribute to the discussion on the convenience of Kantian ethics in the search for a balance between human interests and the interests of the rest of nature.
