Revisão crítica da definição clássica da raiva: Uma defesa da abordagem pluralista

Resumo

Apresento uma crítica à definição clássica da raiva, defendida por Martha Nussbaum (2016), e favorece uma definição pluralista da emoção, defendida por Laura Silva (2020). Aplico a perspectiva pluralista às defesas da raiva de Marilyn Frye (1983), Céline Leboeuf (2018), bell hooks (1995) e Audre Lorde (1997), em vista de demonstrar que suas defesas não são coerentes com uma raiva retributiva. Concluo argumentando que, em contextos de opressão social, a raiva não é uma emoção que objetiva retribuição, mas sim o reconhecimento da injustiça, e sugiro que a definição retributiva da raiva seja rejeitada e substituída por uma definição multidimensional.
