Abstract

This work is the result of the evaluation research of the Programa Pensar a Educação, Pensar o Brasil 1822/2022 (PEPB), linked to the Faculty of Education at UFMG. The evaluation, based on legislation and Política Nacional de Extensão Universitária, dealt with the institutional and impact assessment of the Program, verifying its effectiveness, efficiency and effectiveness. This case study was based on 2 aims axes – to develop the state of the art in the theme of extension evaluation and the production of indicators and a research methodology for the analysis of extensions programs, approaching the internal and external public of the university and identifying the profile of its management. This qualitative, quantitative and participatory evaluation was designed verify compliance with the requirements of inseparability, interdisciplinarity, impact n student training and capacity for dialogue and transformation of Society, in addition to verifying the objectives and goals proposed in the original project of the PEPB in 2007 (SIEX/UFMG). The methodology created by this study can be replicated in the other extension experiences in Brazil.
