This paper consists of a brief pagan practices analysis witnessed in the pamphlet known as De Correctione Rusticorum, assigned to Saint Martin of Braga. We'll take Residuality Theory, codified by Roberto Pontes (2002), as a support pillar to our thoughts to the understanding of this practices persistency in between suevi people even after their conversion. We'll seek to analyze this phenomenon reinserting it in its physical context and social scenario, because we conceived with Burke (2009) that the physical space helps to structure the events occurred in it. This way, we will briefly address the affiliation between the church, the suevic monarchy and popular religiosity, as well as their strategies for strengthening in the midst of the crisis faced after the Roman Empire's fall.
