The article aims to understand rural school life through the memories of lay teachers who worked in rural education in the municipalities of Dourados and Fátima do Sul. The theoretical framework is based on the contributions of the New Cultural History, and methodologically, the study adopts document analysis combined with Hybrid Oral History. The narratives of these teachers revealed that many became educators without possessing the minimum required knowledge due to a shortage of qualified professionals. These lay teachers shared how they organized their classes, what they taught, their relationships with students and the community, elements that provide visibility into the school culture in these rural schools.
Lucélia da Silva Cavalcanti, Alessandra Cristina Furtado Copyright (c) 2024 Lucélia da Silva Cavalcanti, Alessandra Cristina Furtado https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14167 Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:00:00 -0300 O PIONEIRISMO EDUCACIONAL DO COLÉGIO CAXIENSE NA EDUCAÇÃO NO INTERIOR DO MARANHÃO https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14168
This article details the political-social scenario at national and local level in which the founding of Colégio Caxiense occurred, one of the first schools in the interior of Maranhão to offer secondary education, initially named “Ginásio Caxiense”, which took place on the 1st of October 1935, inserted within the political situation of the so-called “Vargas Era” and the reflections of the Francisco Campos Reform of 1931. Through a bibliographical review of the state of the art produced about the school, the study highlights the political and social context in which the Gymnasium was founded. The research sought to highlight the participation of the group of businesspeople responsible for mobilizing financial forces and political influence in the Caxias scene. The results indicate that Ginásio Caxiense played a fundamental role in local education, training thousands of students, transforming the educational scene, enabling the progression of studies that until its foundation was not possible.
Julia Karoline Silva dos Santos, Salânia Maria Barbosa Melo Copyright (c) 2024 Julia Karoline Silva dos Santos, Salânia Maria Barbosa Melo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14168 Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:00:00 -0300 POPULISMO AUTORITÁRIO, DEMOCRACIA SUSTENTÁVEL E EDUCAÇÃO POLÍTICA: https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14169
The main objective of this article is to contextualize the authoritarian legacy of exploratory colonization to the detriment of democratic regimes in general and specifically in Iberian America in the year that marks the 60th anniversary of the military coup in Brazil that interrupted the democratic process and installed a military dictatorship for 21 years. Methodologically, this research is basic in nature, exploratory and has a qualitative approach. As for the method, the interpretation of secondary sources was used. Regarding data and information collection techniques, a literature review was used. Regarding analysis techniques, content and socio-historical discourse analysis were applied. The conclusive results indicate that in order to stop extreme right-wing political authoritarianism against democratic principles and values, it is essential to adopt political education as a strategic public policy aimed at installing a democratic culture in all spaces of life in society.
Antônio Roberto Xavier, Edmilson Alves Maia junior Copyright (c) 2024 Antônio Roberto Xavier, Edmilson Alves Maia junior https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14169 Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:00:00 -0300 O ENSINO SUPERIOR EM CAJAZEIRAS: https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14170
This study aimed to understand the influence of the first higher education institution in the municipality of Cajazeiras on the education of women in the high hinterland of Paraíba. The research is exploratory-descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from documentary and oral sources. Although intended for both men and women, the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters of Cajazeiras (FAFIC) saw its positions predominantly filled by women (n=1,668, 75.78%) during its first nine years of operation (1970-1979). Most of these women were teachers who viewed higher education as a path to professional advancement. Generally, the college’s alumni filled new teaching positions, including within the institution itself. The significant presence of women among the student body in Cajazeiras' higher education did not represent the overcoming of gender contradictions.
Kássia Rejane Pereira de Sousa, Charliton José dos Santos Machado, Vanusa Nascimento Sabino Neves Copyright (c) 2024 Kássia Rejane Pereira de Sousa, Charliton José dos Santos Machado, Vanusa Nascimento Sabino Neves https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14170 Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:00:00 -0300 MEMÓRIA E HISTÓRIA: https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14171
Rio Grande do Norte is a field of notable intellectuals, whose contributions made the vanguard of culture, education, and politics that influenced Brazil and other countries. This work proposes a debate on the importance of working on heritage education as a way to enable the training of students in search of the appreciation of local culture. It uses some historic buildings in the municipality of Santarém-Pará as a reference for heritage education, in terms of instigating students, both from the public and private education networks, in a topic that is still little used in education, as it is a proposal which began to be used only from 2017 with the consolidation of BNCC. The theme is of great relevance, as it is only with debates and discussions about pedagogical practices in classrooms that we can enable today's children to become critical and conscious adults, in addition to understanding the importance of preserving and preserving memory. and the history of the place, such as the historic buildings that still remain and, with this, maintaining the cultural identity, history and memory of a people.
Ruyvan da Silva Matos, Adrielle da Cruz Batista, Eli Conceição de Vasconcelos Tapajós Sousa Copyright (c) 2024 RUYVAN DA SILVA MATOS, ADRIELLE DA CRUZ BATISTA, ELI CONCEIÇÃO DE VASCONCELOS TAPAJÓS SOUSA https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14172 Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:00:00 -0300 EDUCAÇÃO PATRIMONIAL E CIENTÍFICA NO BRASIL: https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14173
This article investigates how Brazilian public policies integrate heritage and scientific education from a decolonial perspective. The research utilized document analysis and the Free Interpretation Analysis (ALI) technique to interpret national laws and guidelines. The results show that, although public policies demonstrate efforts to promote a more inclusive education that values cultural diversity, they still fall short of fully achieving the goals of decolonial education. The contributions of this study highlight the need to restructure pedagogical practices, valuing traditional knowledge and breaking with colonial hierarchies, promoting a critical and inclusive education that contributes to social justice.
Michele Pires Carvalho, Eduardo Augusto Moscon Oliveira Copyright (c) 2024 MICHELE PIRES CARVALHO, EDUARDO AUGUSTO MOSCON OLIVEIRA https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14173 Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:00:00 -0300 A CONDIÇÃO HUMANA DE CRIANÇAS TRABALHADORAS: https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14233
The article aims to analyze the issue of child labor in brickworks (tile and brick industries in the municipality of Russas – CE), in the light of Marxian theory. A reality present today, even with public policies to “combat” child labor. These policies, which for the most part, are carried out just to satisfy society, as, in reality, children continue to accompany their parents to perform certain functions in the work within the brickworks. The municipality of Russas is recognized in Ceará as a hub for the production of tiles and bricks, and this product is sold to states in the northeast region. Therefore, thinking about the issues that are part of the mechanism of this production process is of great importance to understand the social relations established in the context presented. News from the newspaper O Povo, published in 2021, denounces the work of children in brickworks in conditions similar to slavery. Thus, the central objective of this article is to bring the exploitation of child labor into a critical perspective through the writings of Marx, Engels and their interpreters to understand how this practice used in the early days of the Industrial Revolution is present and given new meaning in current times.
Adriana Ribeiro de Lima Copyright (c) 2024 ADRIANA RIBEIRO DE LIMA https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14233 Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:00:00 -0300 Apresentação e Expediente https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14503
Revista Eletrônica do Laboratório de Estudos e Pesquisas em História e Culturas - DÍCTIS, do GTHC da ANPUH-CE e do Curso de História da História da Universidade Estadual do Ceará - UECE.
Francisco Jose Gomes Damasceno Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/bilros/article/view/14503 Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:00:00 -0300
